Marketing Project Manager Job Description
The Marketing Project Manager (MPM) role at Your Marketing Lab™ is a vital position, whose primary role is to develop, manage, execute and deliver marketing-related consulting services. Keeping this primary objective in mind, the MPM’s actions will be focused on accomplishing this goal. Therefore, in order to maximize the company's gross revenue and net profitability, the MPM will qualify, propose, source, negotiate, price and manage a wide variety of marketing projects.
The MPM is not expected to possess all necessary marketing consulting skills, but will assemble project teams for any particular project drawing from our vast range of partner service providers. The MPM roles include building, expanding, maintaining and leveraging our relationships with this wide-ranging universe of marketing service providers, regardless of geographical location. For any particular project, if we don’t have the current relationships necessary, the MPM will access our network and find the resources to complete any marketing-related project. The MPM therefore acts as a critical liaison between potential clients, marketing service providers and Your Marketing Lab.
Key responsibilities of MPM role:
1. Act as point person on diverse, client marketing consulting projects.
2. Driving service proposal process, including identifying scope of project, negotiating scope, terms, timelines and pricing of projects and developing and delivering written project proposals to potential clients.
3. Developing new relationships with marketing service providers.
4. Managing the sourcing of marketing consulting resources for various consulting projects.
5. Managing the various marketing projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of consulting services and ensuring client satisfaction.
6. Managing and resolving with clients any dissatisfaction, errors or missed deadlines that may arise during a consulting engagement.
7. Managing invoicing process for all consulting projects.
8. Supporting YML’s co-founders in expanding the consulting services department’s capabilities, resources and processes, as appropriate.
9. Implementing any predetermined marketing or sales development strategies to increase growth of YML Consulting Services Department.
Key requirements for MPM role:
The Marketing Project Manager will have strong project management skills and experience and a good grasp of marketing strategy and tactics in a variety of industries and businesses. The MPM position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong negotiation skills, and some imagination and creativity to see the possibilities in various potential consulting opportunities. The BDM will be comfortable with technology and possess a strong interest in keeping current with the latest strategies, tactics and tools of marketing.

Compensation:
The MPM’s compensation is derived from the consulting fees earned from each project. The income potential is based on the number of projects and the size and scope of each project that the MPM can manage and execute throughout the year.
