In the 23 years I have been a business owner, it has been rare that I have not participated in a mastermind group. I have found, from my own past experience, that MasterMind groups are powerful catalysts benefiting my business in powerful ways such as:

• Expanding my marketing skills, techniques, and practices
• Creating structures and systems allowing me to work less and make more

Background
For those who may not be familiar with the term "mastermind," the concept was popularized by Napolean Hill in his classic book, "Think and Grow Rich." He found that the greatest business leaders of all time – including Carnegie, Rockfeller and Ford - knew that success is never a solo project. That goals and visions are achieved easier and quicker through the power of teams, than through one's own efforts . That when surrounded with the right team of people, truly great things happen.


Specifics about this New Mastermind Group

My vision is to participate in a B2B virtual phone MasterMind Group with other business owners, as well as business development/sales executives or professionals -- committed to and supporting each other's success. Although I am happy to launch the group, once started, it will become the group's group -- each of us taking our turn facilating the group and keeping it running smoothly.

Ideal Participant/Group Profile

• Full-time business owner (or in current business development role) at least 5 years
• Group diversity in terms of expertise and experience (e. g., marketing/sales, internet services, HR, high tech, finance, etc.)
• Target companies at least $1 million or above
• Creative and open minded
• Committed to the calls and to the group (attendance and participation)
• Willing to give support and receive support in a balanced fashion

Next Step
Once I receive your responses, I will email each of you with proposed times/dayscandidates for an "intro" group call so we can meet each other, explore synergies, identify group logistics (such as frequency, time/day, structure, guidelines, etc.) and gauge commitment levels.

At a time when we are all forced to navigate and manage uncertainty, be quick on our feet in response to change, and stay focused amidst turbulence and volatility, a mastermind group can be an invaluable resource and support structure to making 2009 big, bold and profitable ... even in a down economy.
